Egg Hair Mask
Ingredients :- 2 egg whites
- 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 cup milk
- 4-5 drops lemon juice
Method :
- Mix egg whites, milk, olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Apply this mixture to your scalp and hair.
- Leave this mixture on for 25-30 minutes.
- Rinse your hair with a mild shampoo and condition it. Use cold/normal temperature water for this.
- Use this hair mask three to four times a month for best results.
You can also use whole eggs for this mask. Eggs are known to be a rich source of proteins and help in keeping the hair soft, healthy and breakage-free. Egg also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help protect your hair and scalp from inflammation and damage. The lemon helps keep dandruff at bay, dandruff is a leading cause of hair damage. The olive oil and milk nourishes your hair and partially reverses damage caused due to dryness.
Banana & Yogurt Hair Mask
Ingredients :- 1 whole banana
- ½ cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of honey
Method :
- Mash the bananas in a clean bowl.
- Add the yogurt and honey to it and mix well.
- Apply this pack to your hair and scalp and keep for 25 minutes.
- Rinse off using a mild shampoo and conditioner with plain water.
- Use once every week for best results.
This banana hair mask helps to prevent breakage of hair as it provides moisture and nourishment to your hair. The yogurt helps prevent dandruff while moisturizing it and honey makes the hair shinier. It is known to make your hair healthier, thicker and longer.
Aloe Vera Hair Pack
Ingredients :- ½ tablespoon almond oil
- 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
Method :
- Mix aloe vera gel and almond oil in a bowl.
- Apply this mixture to your scalp and hair.
- Leave this on for 20-30 minutes and wash off with a mild shampoo and plain water.
- Aloe vera gel can also be applied directly to the hair for conditioning it.
- Use this hair pack twice a week for best results.
Aloe vera has moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and photoprotective properties which help in keeping the scalp dandruff-free and preventing hair breakage. Apple Cider Vinegar
Ingredients :- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups water
Method :
- Add apple cider vinegar to the water and mix well.
- Use this solution to rinse your hair after shampooing your hair.
- Do this once a week.
Disturbance in hair pH can cause dryness and damage to hair. Apple cider vinegar helps balance the pH of the scalp because of its acetic acid content. It also helps in keeping the hair soft, thereby preventing breakage. It also has anti-microbial properties which help prevent scalp infections.
Onion Juice
Ingredients :- ½ tablespoon onion juice
- ½ tablespoon coconut oil/ olive oil
Method :
- Mix onion juice with oil in a bowl.
- Apply this mixture to the hair, concentrating on the scalp.
- Leave on for 15-20 minutes.
- Then wash off with a mild shampoo and plain water.
- Use this juice concoction for two to three times every alternate week.
Onion juice helps in restoring nutrients to your scalp and is considered good for hair follicle nourishment. Onions help in reducing breakage as they are rich in Sulphur content which is a requirement for building keratin (hair protein). Coconut oil/olive oil which nourishes your hair, keep it soft thus prevent breakage.
