It’s pretty crazy when you think about the fact that, if you’re a male, you have a 50% chance of developing cancer in your lifetime, and if you’re a female, you have about a 33% chance.
These rates are extremely high and are expected to continue rising because we spend so much time trying to find a cure yet so little talking about the cause and prevention. We need to begin discussing the reasons why cancer rates continue to grow exponentially and what lifestyle changes we can make to fight this disease.
Cancer is caused by physical carcinogens, chemical carcinogens, and biological carcinogens, all of which we surround ourselves with on a daily basis. One excellent example (out of many) is cosmetics and the other products we choose to put on our skin, like deodorant.
A lot of recent clinical studies discover a disproportionately high number of female breast cancers originating in the upper outer quadrant of the breast, the area to which underarm cosmetic products are applied. In fact, most toxins get stored in the breast tissue since it is mostly adipose.
On initial state, breast cancer develops as hormone-dependent cancer and slowly progress with the increase in estrogen levels.
Most conventional deodorants and other body products that we use on a daily basis contain aluminum chloralhydrate, triclosan, parabens, glycol, TEA, FD&C, DEA, and various other chemicals. Some of these chemicals increase the risk of breast cancer by mimicking estrogen.
In a 2007 study published in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, researchers examined breast samples from 17 breast-cancer patients who had undergone mastectomies.
The results showed that those women who used antiperspirants had deposits of aluminum in their outer breast tissue. Moreover, concentrations of aluminum were higher in the tissue closest to the underarm than in the central breast.
This is quite alarming, as the higher incidence of tumors in the upper outer quadrant of the breast seems to confirm the contention that aluminum-containing antiperspirants are contributing to breast cancer.
Furthermore, some experts even claim that parabens also increase the risk of breast cancer by mimicking estrogen. As a matter of fact, parabens were discovered inside autopsied breast tumors.
We have to understand, sweating is a vital function of our body. Sweat contains chemicals that fight diseases. This is why it’s vital to keep the pores under your arms unclogged. Under the skin in the armpit is a cluster of lymph nodes that work to eliminate foreign cells.
This armpit detox can assist your body to unclog the pores and pull out stored toxins, and chemical residue, since these chemical products prevents this removal of toxins when applied to the armpit.
